Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Processing Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for overseeing premium beef processing through third-party sites. This role ensures timely, specification-compliant production for global markets, focusing on quality, efficiency, and productivity.
As a senior leader, you will drive AACo’s operational direction in meat processing, building strong relationships with our third-party suppliers to ensure compliance and delivery to specs with a focus on internal and external customer service. You will work closely with internal teams and our global sales force to maintain AACo’s high standards and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
Oversee production at third-party locations, ensuring adherence to AACo’s quality and grading standards.
Drive productivity, yield, and quality through balanced scorecards and performance metrics.
Lead the management of the ongoing relevant certifications of the company to ensure they meet commercial objectives and legal obligations, both statutory and regulatory.
Lead project management initiatives to improve processes, systems, and benchmarking.
Ensure food safety standards are adhered too, and any concerns are escalated/ addressed.
Team & People Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, setting targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Act as a subject matter expert on emerging processing trends and regulatory updates.
Build and maintain strong local and industry relationships, acting as a positive representative of AACo.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
Cultivate strong relationships with third-party processors, ensuring quality and compliance with contracts.
Work closely with internal teams, including Commercial and Operations, for seamless collaboration and alignment.
Ensure all regulatory, food safety, and animal welfare standards are consistently met.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years in a leadership role within beef processing (Wagyu experience a plus).
Proven success in managing third-party processors and complex SKU portfolios.
Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and project management skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
