About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Wellbeing, Health, and Safety (WHS) Systems and Assurance Manager to lead the delivery of a compliant, effective, and fit-for-purpose WHS Management System and Assurance Program. Reporting to the Head of WHS, you will play a key role in driving safety culture across diverse business activities and fostering a positive, proactive approach to WHS risk management.
This hybrid role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to key sites in QLD and NT to support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems.
What You’ll Do
Redesign and maintain a pragmatic WHS Management System aligned with relevant legislation, and international standards. Develop WHS policies, frameworks, fit-for-purpose manuals, and processes to manage WHS risks effectively.
Build WHS capabilities through impactful hybrid WHS training programs exploring new technology and learning science.
Manage WHS reporting, assurance audits, and data analysis to drive performance improvements.
Develop and deliver WHS Critical Risk and Assurance Framework and Program.
Provide expert advice and education to people leaders across the business to support embedding the WHS Management System.
Manage WHS and Injury Management software and reporting systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed safe systems of work and support WHS initiatives.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Minimum 5 years in WHS system development and implementation, with a proven track record in policy creation, auditing, and training program coordination.
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in WHS/OHS or related field
Experience in developing and or coordinating engaging online WHS training materials.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred)
Experience using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and WHS incident reporting systems (e.g., MYOSH).
Strong understanding of WHS legislation (NT, QLD, and international).
Have a Collaborative, innovative, solutions-focused, and highly organised mindset.
