About the Opportunity:

As the Livestock Manager, you will oversee all livestock operations at the feedlot. From supervising cattle movements and welfare to managing the livestock team, your leadership will ensure production targets, compliance, and quality standards are met. This role is critical to achieving our commitment to animal welfare, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee cattle receival, induction, daily handling, treatment, and dispatch while ensuring compliance with animal welfare and safety standards.
  • Manage and train the livestock team, fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Actively uphold and enforce health and safety standards across all operations.
  • Monitor and implement risk management practices, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Maintain high standards of cattle and horse welfare in line with AACo policies and industry best practices.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring to this role

  • Demonstrated experience in feedlot or livestock operations (minimum 2 years).
  • Previous experience with Stock Aid and FY3000.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and team leadership abilities.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with the capacity to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Passion for livestock management and animal welfare.
