Job Description
About the Role
As an Operations Manager of Avon Downs station, you’ll oversee station operations to meet annual production targets, focusing on team leadership, livestock management, and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Recruit, train, and manage station staff and contractors.
Implement animal husbandry programs and manage livestock sales.
Oversee environmental management and quality assurance standards.
Plan maintenance, and capital improvements, and manage station budgets.
Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
Manage the implementation of AACo’s training program.
Order supplies and supplements such as hay and lick.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
First Aid, Driver's License and relevant certifications.
Strong skills in livestock, pasture, and water management.
Experience with Stockfusion/StockIT, Microsoft Office, and Quicken Financial Package
Knowledge of market specifications and safety systems.
Ability to implement the AACo Safety Management System on site.
