About the Opportunity:
An opportunity has become available to join our Wellbeing Health & Safety Team as a WH&S Coordinator. The WHS Coordinator will work closely with the WHS Operations Manager and the broader WHS team to support the day-to-day functions that drive our WHS Management System and will also have the opportunity to support in the delivery of key WHS initiatives and projects.
This role would be a great opportunity for a recent university Graduate looking to pursue a career in Health & Safety or for someone who holds, or is currently working towards, a WHS Diploma with previous experience in a WHS coordinator/administrator position.
While the role will primarily be office based, there will be opportunities for travel out to our Stations and Feedlots based throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory.
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
Coordinate day-to-day WHS administration, including travel, finance, training, reporting, and committee meetings.
Provide timely and credible WHS documentation and advice, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
Conduct research into WHS issues and products, offering actionable insights.
Support the delivery of the WHS Strategy and Action Plan, including project trials and evaluations.
Conduct routine safety inspections and monitor compliance across corporate areas.
Manage WHS training in the Learning Management System, including health and safety induction programs.
Assist with audits, risk reviews, incident investigations, and reporting.
Administer the Early Intervention Health and Injury Program, including pre-employment processes and fitness-for-work cases.
Collaborate with external safety software providers to troubleshoot and develop solutions.
Stay up to date with emerging WHS technologies, legislation, and industry trends.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring to this role:
2+ years experience in a WHS Coordinator/Administrator position.
Diploma Level qualification in WHS/OHS or equivalent (or working towards).
Rehabilitation and Return to Work or ICAM knowledge is advantageous.
Working experience within in the agriculture industry, ASX-listed companies, or global organisations is a plus.
Strong understanding of WHS legislation (QLD/NT) and familiarity with incident reporting systems like MYOSH.
Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.
Experienced in using Microsoft 365 Suite, SharePoint, and financial administration systems.
Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
