Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced and values-driven Station Manager to lead operations at La Belle Station – a key part of AACo’s northern portfolio. Located near the NT coastline, La Belle is a unique floodplain operation known for its rich grazing country, high-performing cattle, and integration into AACo’s broader supply chain.
This is a leadership role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on station management. You’ll take full accountability for livestock outcomes, financial performance, and team development – all while shaping a culture of excellence, innovation, and care for people, animals, and land.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop a capable, motivated team in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Strengthen relationships with suppliers, customers, and local stakeholders.
Manage operating budgets and P&L with a focus on commercial performance.
Deliver high standards in animal husbandry, welfare, and compliance.
Oversee key projects, property upgrades, and infrastructure maintenance.
Drive the station’s WHS culture, ensuring safety is part of every job.
Apply grass and water management tools to maximise productivity across La Belle’s diverse country types.
Deliver on KPIs aligned with station performance and broader AACo objectives.
Coordinate live sales logistics, ensuring cattle are well prepared and presented.
Embrace technology and data to inform decision-making and improve efficiency.
Strong background in floodplain production systems and breeder herd management.
A practical, structured leadership approach that supports both people and process.
High level of skill in team development, communication, and operational planning.
Sound understanding of northern animal health protocols and seasonal management.
Confidence using digital tools and systems to support operations and reporting.
