About the Opportunity:
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll support AACo’s commercial team to grow branded meat sales by identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and driving ongoing profitable growth across key regions. This commercial role spans traditional meat sales and innovative product development, requiring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You’ll thrive on creating community, delivering tailored solutions, and building long-term customer loyalty.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Drive lead generation through research, cold outreach, events, and brand campaigns across both On Premise and Retail channels
Build and maintain strong, solution-focused client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
Develop tailored sales strategies to meet and exceed targets
Create process’s and operating procedures that enable you to manage a territory of customers
Plan and execute call cycles/journey plans that ensure you adequately service your customer base
Create and deliver engaging proposals and presentations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
Track sales performance and pipeline activity through regular reporting
Contribute to strategic projects, including new program trials and cost pilots
Coordinate demand planning and liaise with processors to align production
Support CX and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment
Assist with weekly sales order processing and customer engagement in Brisbane
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring to this role:
2 + Years’ previous experience in a sales or business development role
A “best in class service” mentality that puts customer needs at the top of your priority list
Degree in business or relevant discipline (highly desirable, not essential)
An entrepreneurial mindset that will identify and capture opportunity beyond initial role scope
Experience building strong relationships with clients in a specific region
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Proactive, resilient and strategic thinker with a strong passion for sales and a results-driven, winning mindset.
Confident in building and nurturing strong relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with a solid ability to interpret and work with numbers.
Collaborative team player, willing to contribute to tasks of any size to support the team’s success.
