About the Role
As Operations Manager at Eva Downs Station, you’ll be responsible for driving day-to-day operations across livestock, land, and infrastructure, reporting directly to the Station Manager at Anthony Lagoon Station. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership, lead people, and contribute to the success of one of AACo’s key properties in the heart of the Barkly Tablelands.
Key Responsibilities:
Allocate daily duties and oversee work plans to ensure smooth operations
Manage staff welfare and foster a positive working environment
Lead the selection, onboarding, and training of station staff and contractors
Oversee performance reviews and support staff development
Contribute to livestock budgeting, herd sales, and purchase decisions
Maintain accurate records in AACo’s livestock information system
Manage environmental resources and maintain paddock records
Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
Support the rollout of AACo’s training programs across the station
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
First Aid, Driver's License and relevant certifications.
Experience with Stockfusion/StockMate, Microsoft Office, and Quicken Financial Package
Strong background in livestock operations, pasture planning, and water resource management
Knowledge of market specifications and safety systems.
Ability to implement the AACo Safety Management System on site.
Strong understanding of market specifications and ability to draft cattle accordingly
Solid knowledge of AACo policies and procedures
