About the role
As the Livestock Systems Support, you will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, inventory management, training, and compliance across AACo’s livestock systems. Reporting to the Livestock Systems Integrity Support and working closely with the Livestock Systems Lead, you’ll carry out administrative checks and duties for livestock data and inventory across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Livestock Information Systems and NLIS compliance across pastoral business units
Ensure all livestock information is accurately recorded and entered into relevant systems
Deliver training for managers and users on Livestock Information Systems and NLIS, both crush-side and remotely
Some station travel required
Analyse livestock data to assist management with key operational decisions (e.g., fertility, weight forecasting, supplementary feeding)
Support stations in maintaining EU compliance
Assist with managing LPA/QA systems for pastoral stations, including annual audits
Prepare end-of-month reports for business units, ensuring compliance and herd reconciliation
Support the broader team to complete annual reconciliations on time, ensuring independent audits and identifying discrepancies
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
1+ years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with Stockmate system for both management and operational data entry (desirable)
Operational experience within agriculture – both practical and technical
Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint, and advanced skills in Word
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills across all forums
Ability to quickly build strong networks across all levels of the organisation
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Attention to detail with the ability to identify improvements, prioritise tasks, multi-task, and meet deadlines
