About the Opportunity:
We’re actively seeking a Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team on a 12-month parental leave contract, commencing in early 2026.
In this role, you’ll report to the General Counsel & Company Secretary and play a key part in partnering with the business to provide practical, strategic legal advice. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing, commercially minded, and collaborative legal team that values professionalism, curiosity, and teamwork.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, marketing, sales and distribution, intellectual property, research and innovation ventures, sustainability, property law, employment law, and risk management.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements across all parts of the business.
Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures as required.
Supporting the company secretariat function, including the implementation and continual improvement of corporate governance policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective governance and ASX Listing Rules compliance.
Working with the General Counsel and Company Secretary, Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel to oversee external legal counsel as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring to this role:
4 + years of post-qualification experience.
Bachelor of Laws and admission to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
Previous experience working in an ASX-listed environment (desirable).
Ability to work with and influence senior management stakeholders.
An innovative mindset, capable of problem-solving and idea development.
Highly developed communication and relationship-building skills.
An adaptable and agile mindset with the ability to manage legal matters of all sizes and levels of complexity.
