We are looking for a Head Stockperson to lead the team at Camfield Station. As Head Stockperson, you’ll play a key role in station operations—leading the stock camp, building capability within the team, and ensuring day-to-day activities are carried out safely and efficiently. You’ll oversee livestock handling and welfare, drive training and assessment through our Operational Skills Framework, and maintain compliance with company policies and performance standards.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Station Hand, ideally with a couple of years as a Leading Hand or Head Stockperson.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) (desirable).
- Experience with Stockmate or similar livestock recording systems (desirable).
- Strong cattle herd, pasture and water management experience.
- Excellent cattle handling and horse-riding skills.
- Solid understanding of station operations including bores, fencing, machinery and construction.
- Ability to draft cattle to market specifications.
- Knowledge of Livestock Production Assurance and Cattle Care Quality Assurance programs.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Firearms Licence (Class A and B)
