Job Description

The Opportunity:
As AACo’s Workday Administrator, you’ll be the product owner of our newly implemented Workday platform and play a pivotal role in driving the transformation. With significant autonomy, you’ll collaborate across People & Culture, Finance, IT, and Operations to align capabilities with business needs, streamline workflows, and empower teams to achieve operational excellence and strategic outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Configure, maintain, and optimise AACo’s Workday platform, ensuring smooth performance and data integrity. In particular, with the following modules: HCM, Advanced Comp, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Talent Optimisation, Payroll, Absence + Time, Expense Management.
  • Manage user access, security roles, and compliance standards.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, integrations, and coordinate with Workday support and consultants.
  • Lead configuration updates, including business processes, reports, dashboards, and new feature rollouts.
  • Oversee and maintain integrations between Workday and internal systems, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Champion user adoption through training, support, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to deliver actionable insights.
  • Maintain documentation of configurations, system changes, and user guides.
  • Collaborate across People & Culture, Finance, IT, Operations and external partners to align system capabilities with business needs.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to drive continuous improvement and digital transformation.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Workday or HRIS administration, with system ownership and integration management in a medium to large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Workday platform to configure capability and support ongoing improvement.  Specific experience working with Workday’s HCM, Advanced Comp, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Talent Optimisation, Payroll, Absence + Time, and Expense Management modules would be highly regarded.  
  • Proven ability in configuration, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Strong background in change management and user training.
  • Exposure to People & Culture, Finance, IT, and Operations functions.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder and Vendor engagement abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with system updates.
  • Experience supporting integrations between Workday and other systems would be highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, HR, or related field (desirable), plus Workday certification (highly regarded).
