Job Description
The Opportunity:
This role offers the chance to play a key supporting part in our Commercial Operations team, working closely with the Commercial Operations Manager and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. As a Commercial Operations Assistant, you’ll bring strong coordination skills, a customer-focused mindset and the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll contribute to the smooth flow of sales, data, and operational processes while building strong relationships across the business.
What you’ll do:
Act as 2IC across core operational tasks, including ATP management, order/inventory allocation, reporting and stakeholder coordination.
Analyse business performance and drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and commercial procedures.
Manage customer orders and maintain accurate sales order data throughout the lifecycle.
Plan and optimise order fulfilment, DIFOT, freight utilisation and product flow across the supply chain.
Coordinate production, logistics and shipping schedules; resolve production shortages as needed.
Maintain and support the ERP system (JD Edwards), including price book updates.
Collaborate with Commercial, Processing and Customer Experience teams to deliver solutions and communicate supply changes.
Assist with supply chain operations, staff sales, and internal AACo meat allocations.
Produce presentations, reports and documentation; manage records and deadlines.
Apply strong IT capability with the ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.

What you’ll bring:
Ability to operate as a strong 2IC, supporting key planning, order allocation, ATP use and stakeholder coordination.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting, month-end processes and continuous improvement.
Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to assess systems and leverage tools across manufacturing, forecasting and inventory.
Experience managing customer orders and maintaining accurate sales order data.
Collaborative problem‑solver who works well with Processing, Commercial and CX teams.
Strong communication skills to keep stakeholders informed of supply impacts or changes.
Flexibility to support commercial planning, supply chain operations and internal sales activities.
Organised and detail-focused, confident in coordinating deadlines, records and documentation.
Competent in creating presentations, spreadsheets and databases, with strong general IT skills.
